I have zero graphic design knowledge yet I wanted a logo for my website. I read a blog post about how someone paid $100 for their website banner so as any frugal person would do, I went without one.
As time progressed I thought, “maybe I could figure out how to create a logo myself”. I asked friends about graphic design. One friend referred me to Etsy.com. On the website there was a listing for a custom website banner for only a mere $6 and an extra $2 you would receive a matching profile picture. This sounded like a much better option then me learning graphic design. I purchased the service. With the low price, my expectations were also low.
Imagine my surprise when I received 3 different custom banners within hours after my purchase and I really liked the designs. I had a hard time figuring out which one I wanted. The graphic designer, D, was so wonderful. She always responded to my questions or changes within a day. By the end of a week we came up with a design which I love.

Money Saving Tip:
When There is a Will There is a Way Being frugal and saving money does not always equate to “going without”. If you want something whether it is a vacation, a new TV or a website design, figure out a way to make it happen within your means. Ask friends and family for suggestions, get another job or think outside the box.
